It is amazingly simple and foolproof. I think my parents could use this app to put convert a DVD to movies for their iPod or PSP (if they had either one...)
This statement by Rupert Murdoch has to be the most obvious statement I have heard all year. Of course the O.J. book and interview were ill-considered, what self-respecting man would publish and air O.J. discussing how he "would have" (actually did) commit the murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman. In this sudden move, Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble also pulled the book off their shelves. I don't know about the book. But I was really looking forward to watching the interview, here is to hope that someone puts it on BitTorrent...
After a firestorm of criticism, News Corp. said Monday that it has canceled the O.J. Simpson book and television special "If I Did It." "I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project," said Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. chairman. "We are sorry for any pain that his has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson."http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2669635
UPDATE AGAIN: Apple seems to have heard the complaints on messageboards and the blogosphere and released an update to solve the problems on my Macbook Pro's airport being worthless.
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/airportupdate2006002.html
Another UPDATE (2-19-2007):
Apparently Apple didn't think update was neccessary because they have pulled the update from Software Update and from Apple.com link above. You can still download it at VersionTracker: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/28282. Not sure why they pulled it, but it helped out with my problems.
People were talking about this at MacFixIt:
MacFixIt reader John Crook writes: "On my new Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro (15â€) I found that my Airport connection was intermittently “lockingâ€. My laptop could not 'see' either the internet or my router – even though the menu bar showed full signal strength. A reboot was necessary to restore the network connection. "(It appears) that Airport Update 2006-002 has fixed this problem. [...] No problems since I applied the update. I was usually getting the problem at least once a day and most often after a wake from sleep. Due to the intermittent nature and inability to reproduce the problem it's hard to be certain, but I’d say it’s looking very likely that the problem has been fixed."
Sit T.M.X. Elmo down and hit one of his three "tickle" spots. There's one under his chin, one on his belly, and one on top of his foot. Yes, this Elmo wiggles just like he did 10 years ago, but that's just the start. Elmo slaps his belly, falls forward with his butt sticking out, stands back up again only to topple backwards, kicks his legs over his belly, and then stands right back up, all while laughing hysterically. Elmo gets more outrageous when you "tickle" him a second time, and the fun really starts with the third "tickle" session. Elmo's fancy moves include falling over on his side, shimmying on his back, and what seems to be everyone's favorite: lying flat on his belly slapping the floor next to him as if he can’t stop laughing. This Elmo has a serious case of the giggles. His trademark voice builds into a fit of histrionics, endless snickers that drown out everything but an unintelligible cackle until even Elmo admits he has had too much.
