worthless soon to be worthless
I just found out today that my 37cent stamps are worthless. I bought a roll of 20 stamps back two years ago, and being a college student I don’t use stamps very often. Well, I dug out my seldom-used stamps for sending out graduation invitations and discovered that they are now outdated. Apparently, I am a little behind because USPS raised the price to 39 cents on Jan. 8th 2006, which was about 5 months ago. Regardless, I feel like I got ripped off because I made an investment in a roll of stamps that could mail an envelope and now they don’t. It is like if you bought a book you intended to read, but they raised the price of the book before you read it, so now you have to pay the difference to read the book. But it appears like that won’t be a problem with the new stamps because they are not marked with a price.
