This statement by Rupert Murdoch has to be the most obvious statement I have heard all year. Of course the O.J. book and interview were ill-considered, what self-respecting man would publish and air O.J. discussing how he “would have” (actually did) commit the murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman. In this sudden move, Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble also pulled the book off their shelves. I don’t know about the book. But I was really looking forward to watching the interview, here is to hope that someone puts it on BitTorrent…
After a firestorm of criticism, News Corp. said Monday that it has canceled the O.J. Simpson book and television special “If I Did It.”
“I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project,” said Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. chairman. “We are sorry for any pain that his has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.”
